At the beginning of October this year, the European Parliament passed a bill requiring that all new mobile phones, tablets, cameras and other portable smart devices in the EU should use the universal charging interface of USB Type-C from the autumn of 2024; The laptop products using a unified charging interface are allowed to have a "adaptation period" of 40 months after the act takes effect. Since most of Apple's products use the Lightning interface, it has become one of the most affected enterprises after the establishment of the above bill. Previously, the EU has repeatedly asked European countries to legislate to unify the Type-C interface of mobile phones. The EU has discussed this proposal for more than 10 years, and Apple is the biggest opponent of this bill.
